Ben @blackline4x4 Rig Rundown

My name is Ben from @blackline4x4 and I drive a 2018 Mitsubishi MQ Triton Blackline Special Edition. I bought this vehicle brand new in January 2019.

I specifically chose a Triton for a few reasons; it was within my budget when compared to other similar 4×4 dual cabs, with a 7 year warranty; it also came with everything I needed in a 4×4, including a rear locker, which was a huge bonus in terms of factory inclusions.

When I bought the Triton, it came with the tyres I’m currently running. They are BF Goodrich All Terrain KO2s in a 265/70R17.

What have I done to the Triton so far?

  • I started off by getting a HSP 3-piece hard lid, which has been great for keeping all of my gear dry and safe in the tub.
  • The next mod was a TJM rear bar. I love the look and reliability of TJM gear. It’s been great for that rear end protection and it came with a tow bar already built-in, which has been another great addition.
  • At the front of the rig, I have added a TJM T13 Outback bull bar with a TJM 9,500lb synthetic rope winch and a 22” Narva light bar.
  • I also have a TJM Airtek snorkel.
  • Up top, I’m running a Rhino Rack Pioneer Platform with the backbone system.
  • Inside the vehicle I’m running a Uniden UH5060 UHF with a 6.6dbi whip.
  • Underneath for protection, I’m running a set of Custom Off Road Bash Plates.

All TJM gear, Rhino Rack platform and UHF installed thanks to Prestige OffRoad/ TJM Burwood. Having been on trips with the team from TJM Burwood, they know not only how to install equipment, but how to use it. This speaks volumes for the work they do!
